Duel: Director
Idea Man and Financial Backer

Duel Glass

In his short life, Duel has been involved in basically everything. When Will asked, "Duel, can we have bees at the center?" he said, "I think we already have bees."
"Really?"
"Yeah, there's a box of them, out by the blackberries. Look by the fence."
Sure enough, we already have bees at the center.
Of all of the things that Duel gets excited about, he's most excited about ideas. He envisions a world of energy sustainability, where communities aren't forced to rely on long-distance supply chains in order to cook their food, light their homes, or travel from place to place. "It might not happen in my lifetime," he says, with a light in his eyes, "but I can see it... I can see it."

Reed: March 2008-present

Reed

Reed has found his way to the Glass Center after a very long journey across America. He has jumped right in to farm activities, helping Hugh with the raised beds and propogation of seeds, and enjoying the lake to its fullest. We hope he will be a resident for quite a long time.

Andrew: August 2008-Present

(picture and bio on the way, but the gist is that Andrew is a handsome and wonderful person).

Michelle: February-April, 2008; Current satellite community resident

Michelle Atkins

Michelle helped in a multitude of realms, from tagging and clearing in the blackberry fields, to helping organize the wealth of projects the Glass Center wishes to achieve. From a garage apartment at Duel's house in Tyler, she is working to expand the center's web presence and media offerings and missing the beautiful sunsets and homebrew at the farm.
